The "Bonjour ça va" security line is a daily morning telephone call which ensures the safety of our clients. This service is offered by volunteers who come to the Centre and give graciously of their time, rain or shine!

FRIENDLY VISITS AND FRIENDLY PHONE CALLS

Friendly visits and phone calls provide a regular contact between a client and a volunteer which helps to diminish isolation. The Centre requests a commitment of 2 hours per week in order to establish a friendship. Clients and volunteers who work together are chosen according to their similarity of character. The schedule is flexible according to the availability of the volunteer and the needs of the client.

SHOPPING

By shopping, we usually mean `groceries`, but you can be asked to go to the pharmacy, cleaners, etc. This service can be done with or without the client, depending on the client`s needs and mobility. ACCOMPANIMENT

An accompaniment service ensures a safe trip to and from medical appointments. (Clients are responsible for their transportation as well as for the volunteer’s transportation).
